Labels: I LOVE THIS HOUSE :)
Dad Keeps Busy
You would think that I had enough to do with getting moved in and the house ready to go and not a minute to spare! But I found the time to refinish the bed frame and the end table that I like so much. You can see the difference in the photo of the old finish of the end table and the second photo of the restored end table. Big difference! And it didn't take too long either. Your mom and I are really enjoying this house and feel very comfortable in it and the neighborhood. We kind of fit in to the small town life. We are just country bumkins at heart.

Happy Father's Day Grandpa!
I like to walk with Grandpa,
His steps are short like mine.
He doesn't say, "Now hurry up!"
He always takes his time.
Most people have to hurry,
they do not stop and see,
I'm glad that
God made Grandpa
"Unrushed" and young like me.
We love you Grandpa!

Mom & Dad at breakfast
Good morning family,
Things move pretty slow in Milo, IA and that has delayed this long overdue posting. Iowa has welcomed us with lightning storms, tornados, and much rain. But we are doing fine, no flooding or damage to our house. Mom has already painted most of the walls in the house and hung pictures on all the walls. We've been to Nathan and Heather's several times and Jessica and Ryan's once.
I'll finish this later.
Dad

There is also a train going around the whole top of the restaurant.
A very neat place to eat!!! Loud, but cool. If you order dessert they give the kids a plastic train whistle. So nice of them. Maybe it's their punishments to the parents&nannies who bring in loud kids. Send them home with something to make the kids even louder.
My goodness, don't they look so sweet!! They really are pretty good kids and I really enjoy them. Miranda is the oldest (on the left), Jake is the youngest (in the middle) and Lexi is the middle (on the right).

Jennifer's Day
Well, I was thinking about a warning I could give, but I don't have any :) Today it is raining outside. Lots of lightening and thunder too. It is a very nice day to sit and read. And the best part is that I can. Talk about a cool job! The girls are at school and Jake is off playing at a friends house. He is so quiet when he is by himself that he surprises me. Matt, thanks for posting those pictures. I have wondered what our old house looks like and not much has changed really.
Have a great day everyone. And Jess--enjoy the day before your birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
