Bed
So here are some pictures of the new bed mom bought for the kids to use when they visit. Right now Alex will be using it. The blanket that is on it is only temporary. Mom is making a blanket that has cars on it to make it more kid friendly.
The top of the bed!

Poppy's Pumpkin Patch -- Grams and the Coons
Jess writing again today. Mom went with us to Poppy's Pumpkin Patch yesterday. It was a gorgeous day of sunshine and fall breezes. The pumpkin patch is only about 15 min. from our house and has tons of stuff to do. There are lots of animals to pet and feed, slides to ride, treehouses, and even a little cafe to get snacks!
Alex LOVED feeding the chickens.
Baby boy meets baby goat.

The Scout
This was Thursday. We had to take the Scout to the new painter. It doesn't have a top or windshield (as you can see). It's a load of fun to drive!

Grandpa's Protege'
Grandpa, we wanted you to see Alex's first attempt at watercolors. We did this many weeks ago and forgot to post it. But I came across the pictures the other day, so here they are. Alex really, really liked these paints. I think it was because he had so many to choose from. The only problem is that by the time he got done mixing them altogether, most of the painting was turning out in different shades of brown mud! Guess he needs a few lessons from Grandpa!!

Cupcakes Galore
This is Jess posting again...
I told Jen about all the cupcakes I made for the Fall Family Fun Night at church tomorrow night and she asked me to post them on the blog. We do a big carnival type of party every year as a Halloween alternative. The kids dress up and the teens run booths as a fundraiser/fun event. One of the s asked me to make cupcakes for the "Cupcake Walk" booth. So I tried to make them fun for kids and grown-ups...hence the Nebraska "N"--giving in to peer pressure I guess!

Dad Hard At Work
Dad is dressing up the bookcases he got.
When we first moved to Iowa there was a schhol getting rid of these bookcases and we were able to get them for $15.00 each, they are soild oak. The Lord has been very good to us and given us such great deals.
Having the bookcases up stairs has given this extra room a purpose and now it is Steves libary.
